I've decided to combine a blog post for this week and last week, as the last two weeks have been a bit all over the place. Due to many things, (Interviews, illness, visiting family), I'm unfortunately a few days behind where I'd like to be at this point, but I'm trying not to worry too much yet as I've left myself quite a large amount of time at the end of the project which I think will be sufficient enough for me to still finish everything I have planned.
At the start of week 5 I added some place holder textures to my assets in engine, to help with figuring out texturing sheets and allowances, and also allowing me to keep track of what assets are unwrapped and what still need working on.

Re-using assets from the main building I created a little fire pit that will go outside near the pools and add another source of warmth and contrast in the scene when it is lit.

Along with this I also created a bridge as this is to be one of the other larger assets in my scene, sitting in pretty much the middle and being viewable from lots of angles I wanted to get it created quickly as it was quite important.

During the start of week 6 I spent messing around with my environment and scenery a little more. I changed the landscape to make it a little more natural, and have also been experimenting in world builder to create some landscapes and mountains to go in the background of my scene, to make the scene feel less as though it is floating.

I started creating some of the interior assets for my main building, as these are the main bits of furniture which I will be using in my scene; the rest is lots of rocks, foliage, trees, etc. I also unwrapped all of these assets and placed them into engine.

Although my scene is currently feeling a bit empty, next week I will be going all out creating some tiling textures and the bulk of the foliage, so hopefully this will help to fill out the scene more and start to bring things together, as currently the lollipop trees aren't doing me any favors.
