After getting my FMP idea approved and getting a firm idea of what I wanted to achieve collecting a multitude of reference and analysis, I began to create a very simple whitebox of my level, the whitebox is no where near complete, but gives a basic idea of the key locations and elements in my environment.

The main building in my environment will be on a raised platform which leads down into the hot springs; the dips in the ground resemble where the pools will be, there will be rocks and puddles all around these areas.

I have also been working on a small shrine as a style test for this project. It is not yet complete but I thought it would be nice to have it somewhere in my whitebox to give somewhat of an idea of what my assets will look (untextured).

The shrine that I have been working on was modelled in Max and then taken into Zbrush to add fine detailing. I have added textures to the wood, rocks and many other things, which will aid in the texturing process and be used for normal maps later on.

I have yet to finish the roof for this, as I was experimenting with different styles of tiles and have not yet had time to return to it. I plan to have this piece textured by the end of the week so I have a presentable version of what my assets are intended to look like for my next tutorial. I am hoping to create a version without snow and one with snow, to experiment with how my scene will have a snowy effect added to it and the best method for doing so.
